As I recall, the Euro version of helmets - such as Speicalized evade 2 must meet different standards versus in the US. The result has been from what i recall is that the US approved helmets tend to be heavier.

Might the US versions also be larger on the outside as a result? As I contemplated about which aero roat helment to buy how it looks on me is one of the considerations......When I see the international pros with their evade 2 helmets - in frontal views those look very trim just above the ears. I consider my head shape to be quite normal/average for a slender 160 lb who wears size Medium - however the US evade 2 helmets I tried on seem buldge outward just over my ears much more so that the euro helments seem to.

Am I seeing things or is there a true difference on the profiles of US vs Euro??

Profiles are the same, inside and out, it's the foam density that changes. Head shapes vs sizes of helmets is why helmets sometimes look lower profile on someone vs someone else.
