The TCR is an example of if it aint broke dont fix it. The Advanced through the SL is a sterling bike and small changes may make sense as globally the bike has been flying off the shelves since 16.

Evolution not revolution with this new version is seems. new fork, beefed headtube, slight change on TT and the downtube is rounded on the leading edge now as well, same as the Liv Langma (?or Avail?).. just enough to say it's a bit stiffer and more aerodynamic (lolz). The back end looks exactly the same to me as the existing SL.

Shame not to see different or better cabling or more change, but hey, the TCR SL is a great bike.. so.. maybe the strategy is to just 'tweak' it a bit and push discs for the next couple of years.. I guess it might be cheaper to do this, with current/recent unrest in the bike industry and import tarrifs, it could be that Giant's conservative approach could be just very clever.

Do any of the photos show if the rim brake version now comes with DM brakes?

Other than a BB update it would have been fun to see a lighter mast top. But as stated before - if it ain’t broke ...

I wonder how significant the improvement will be. The current model can be had for a steal in 9050 Di2 guise in Australia. $6.5k all in... not bad at all!

This isn’t the new TCR that GVA rode today. The new model has an internal front brake hose.

Probably just the Defy he rode at P-R.

Glad to see Giant ditching the Propel/Defy way of integrated routing.
