MY2020 TCR ADVANCED 2 KOM is now listed on the US site (https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/tcr-a ... 2-kom-2020)

It looks like the MY20 version now has a full carbon steerer compared the the aluminium steerer of the MY19 KOM.

I'm still undecided on disc/rim but I'm begining to think rim is the way to go for me.

I rented a MY19 TCR advanced disc for a week on a recent trip to Maui and put 100 miles on it. The frame felt amazing compared to my aluminum nashbar beater training bike.

Not trying to turn this into a disc/rim debate - but when standing and accelerating I could hear the discs rub in the back. I also wasn't impressed with Giant's conduct hybrid disc system. Stopping quickly from 40mph was really confidence inspiring but the brake feel wasn't smooth at all. It felt like metal on metal grinding. I'm assuming these issues were probably due to the bike shops lack of maintenance on their rental bikes (I had to adjust tension on the front/rear derailluer too).

MY20 advanced disc bikes are now fully hydraulic.. Unfortunately the Pro and SL models are out of my price range but getting full hydraulic and full carbon steerers on the lower end models is appreciated.

Now with an updated frame coming next year.. Am I patient enough to wait??

Looks like a Pinarello fork - F8 like - which it could be considering Giant make them for Pina ?

That bike GVA is riding is definetely different than the other! The HT shape is completely different as well as the fork. Seatstays look thinner too!

Nope.
Both GVA & Jonas Koch are riding the new TCR Advanced SL.

Don't let your disc brake experience get destroyed by one test ride. A poorly setup conduct system feels extremely different than a correct set-up hydro setup. Improper setup on the cable part of the conduct the entire system has too much friction to be usable, making it feel rough or not smooth.

Yes, you are right! Maybe that's why we have seen the UCI approved list entry so early when it is only being released for 2021?

More pictures, from Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen (Jonas Koch).
Different headtube shape & bowed fork.
There's no cable entry on the headtube either like the current TCR's.

I still cannot tell any major difference except the bowed fork and different cable entry point.

Then again keeping it similar and lowering weight is now refreshing with all the SL6 lookalikes.
