its a bit heavier (ca 800 gr), but maybe one or another might be interested:
lightweight urgestalt 2018 frameset currently for 1199.- euro, with code RCZLGF, valid until 24.05. midnight cet.
for those who dont know the shop: its located in luxembourg and absolutely relieable (ok, i am a bit pissed, because i paid 2000.- euro for the frame 2 month ago, but ok...)
time of delivery is longer than written, expect 2 month!

http://www.rczbikeshop.fr/fr/shopby/lightweight.html

What is included in this price?

Is it brand new frameset (Fork+Frame)?

Is it included Headset and seatpost clamp, and headset conical cup and spacers?

Regarding is BB86, i guess i can install Campagnolo groupset on this without any problems?

And how this bike ride? Can u share ur experience please (never ever read it anything about this frame :) )

I can see that is not produced in Germany but probably in China..And any rear brake rubbing since look like not ideal position for rear brake cable routing?

Thanks for sharing this...And thans in advance if u share a bit more info about this bike

@wyz: i dont know if they ship to us.

@3Pio:
frameset is brand new with warranty and comes in the original lightweight case.
it includes seatpost clamp, headset, spacers and conical headset cup, no seatpost is included.
its bb 386 EVO.

weight ist 798 gr. for the frame in 51 and 330 gr for the uncut fork.

i did not build the frameset yet, but geometry suits me perfect, so i am shure it will offer a great ride. i hope steering wont be to nervous (hta is 72,2° in 51, but i dont know fork rake)

imo the frame is only for those who can stand a very modest appearance, it looks extremely clean and simple.

That is an incredible price considering they retail at over AU $6000, works out with the code delivered for just over $2000, shame I already have an Urgestalt albeit a 2017 model with the silly seat post mechanism and aero shape. Still bloody tempted though, nice with a Darimo post to match my Darimo bars.

Hey reedplayer.
What colour frame did you get please for the weight of 798g. Am I right in saying the black, black frame has part gloss paint to.
My 17 model all Matt finish Urgestalt is 771g size 54. My fork was 308g cut for reference. So tempting for the silly price they are offering.
Cheers

I can only see it listed at €3,999.98, and the discount code doesn't work...

For that price I just couldn't resist.
Even though it will be a little heavier than my 2017 Urgestalt frame, it will still be lighter overall with a Darimo post and sub 4 clamp. My post and cradle weighs a whopping 200g. Bike should end up around 4.88kg.

I read about a lot of complaints about 2017 version (out of spec BB, Seatpost slipping, frame cracking...)

Are those solved in 2018 version?

And i guess possible to use any 27.2 seatpost and not need of proprietary?

I can see head tube angle of 73 deg in 54 and fork rake of 45.. Which put in middle of handling (Trail 57)

Hello KCookie,
its black/black, frame is completely matte.
fork should come out with ca 300 gr/cut as well, because steerer ist quite long.
i just tried to register frameset, seems not to work. there are only two 10-digit-numbers, the frame number uner BB, a registration is not possible with this one, and a number on the case, registration worked, but they confirmed the registration of a wheelset, so this number although might be faulty.

@3Pio: Thanks for the info concerning fork rake, so handling should be nearly identical to a ridley helium i owned, thats good!

Cheers,

Yes I did have a lot of problems with my first frame, mainly the post slipping and out of alignment. The saddle used to be angled to the left by 15mm. The second frame I have had three different BBs and all have creaked. 2018 versions obviously have the option of any after market post so no problems there, hopefully the BB problems are solved to.

The serial number is a worry, have you contacted RCZ and asked why, I just have. Might be worth speaking to Lightweight and see if they can explain. I'll send them an email and see if I can get an answer, they are normally pretty quick at responding.

i although sent an email to lw concerning frame registration and look forward to their reply.
i put frame fork wheelset bar saddle and some parts together, its a nice looking frame, but very, very modest appaerance, far away from current fashion.

They are a lovely frame and a great ride, I love mine but I'm hoping the newer model will be slightly better, especially having the option of any 27.2 post. I'm sure comfort with this type of post will exceed the older style. Now just waiting for a response from RCZ and lightweight to see if I need to cancel the order.
Do you think the frames are legit. ?
