I have a 2019 Specialized Allez sprint disc and am thinking of upgrading to ultegra di2. What is everyone's opinion on BB30 to Shimano bottom bracket adapters/full bottom brackets and the best ones available?

Thanks!

Hambini?

You can look at praxis works or i guess ceramic speed.

I have exactly that, Allez Sprint Disc with Di2.
I prefer Wheels MFG threaded together bb.
It is not the lightest but i like that it is easy to remove and re-install, just in case i need to access di2 cables in the bottom bracket area.

Anything threaded. Second the Praxisworks and Wheels mfg as mentioned above.

Have a praxisworks bb30-gxp on my Allez right now and fingers crossed no creaks yet.

I’ve used these from Wheels Mfg and they worked flawlessly:

BB/PF30 Universal Adapter for 24mm Spindle Cranks (Shimano, FSA, etc.)

Best in what regard? For install and forget use threaded.

For lightweight I'm sure if properly installed using the right primers and compounds you can get it silent with a simple pressfit cup system.

If you run into alignment issues you can go threaded later.

If your bb shell is already properly aligned there is little to gain with a threaded bb.

I' ve been really impressed with my token ninja so far....

https://www.tokenproducts.com/bottom-br ... inja/ninja

* Widely spaced bearings so good support / stiffness
* Uses composite spacers between alloy BB housing and frame - no creaking and less chance of damaging the frame
* Threaded together - keeps alignment and allows very easy installation and removal (no press, just conventional BB tool)
* bearings can be replaced and housing reused :)
* Additional seals seem quite effective, bearings lasting well!

+1 on Wheels Manufacturing ThreadTogether BB for reliability.

Cheers for the replies, thinking of going for the wheels mfg threaded option. Not too bothered with the added weight, more concerned with reliability. :D

I have an Allez Elite (non-sprint) from 2019 with Praxis M30 threaded (d'uh - aluminum frame) BB. I want to upgrade to Ultegra R8000 crankset because I want a Pioneer power meter with Wahoo - could someone please explain to me why there are so many BB choices for Ultegra R8000 mentioned in this thread? I thought it's as simple as removing the M30 BB and installing a BBR60 for Ultegra R8000 cranks, or am I missing something?

For you, it is that simple... because you have a standard threaded BB. For the owners that have a higher model Allez bikes, it is not that simple because they are OSBB and require a converter to run Shimano cranks. There are lots of converters out there that all work slightly different.
