Giant TCR 2001 - Fork & Headset question

As a bit of a project I recently bought a Giant TCR frame that I _think_ is a 2001 model. The frame came without a fork and a headset and I assumed it was an ordinary integrated 1 1/8 inch fork/headset and that I'd be able to find a suitable replacement fairly easily. However it seems my assumption was off and that the frame is actually built for an integrated 1 inch headset/fork.
Could anyone out there confirm that this is the case and if so, point me in a direction to find a fork/headset in order to get the bike built as my luck when googling this has so far been very limited...
