One of the nice things this year there will be new Shimano centerlock rotor with a very beatiful design
Which groupset will the rotors belong to? DA? Ultegra? Lower groups?

The only business decision I think would prompt Di2 105 would be if they feel like they need to move to 12 speed to compete with SRAM and Campag. However, if they move Dura-Ace to 12 speed, and 105 (11 speed) was moved to Di2 as postulated in this thread, than Ultegra Di2 is a very marginal upgrade. I'd assume they'd move Ultegra to 12 speed to keep it relevant to consumers, forcing them to make major updates to all of their "top end" groupsets, which is very unlike Shimano.

That being said, I think electronic 105 would be killer, but I don't think we'll see it before Dura Ace sees another update.

New parts may be released soon, they are already leaking in web shops, for example:

bike24.de/p1327114.html - tiagra hydraulic sti update (other releases will be more interesting, but no 105 update)

Shimano have arrangement with big Germany shops to stop exporting their products after 2019-06-01, that may be important date

The original Di2 patents must be close to expiration-perhaps Shimano is looking to beat Shenzhen clone houses to the punch on <$1K electronic groupsets.

Are you saying that the Di2 groupsets on Ali/DH Gate etc are fake??? I was looking at buying an Ultegra R8000 Di2 upgrade kit and actually looked at them on aliexpress but didnt want to risk buying from china in case i had some issues that required me to return them and so bought locally but never considered for a moment that the kits were counterfeit.

I wouldn't think a company producing fake goods would particularly care about patent infringements.

Try Merlin in the UK for Shimano groupsets-I assume they're not all that much more than Ali/DH gate.

Wtf, more geoblocking? Isn't that actually illegal in the EU? (if not, I hope one time it does become so)
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

US to EU, it's been all over the news for the last 6 months.

Blocking EU state to EU state is illegal. But there are too many loopholes.

I was talking about EU to non-EU export

It may also be a way of addressing issues with Brexit.

viewtopic.php?t=144106 - this was 2 years ago and now it is cancelled (details removed after they disappeared from shimano.com)
There will be some new di2 parts ultegra level, and non-di2 parts tiagra level, some non-group parts, but no 105 updates

This one?
