Anyone know off hand what the lightest 11-34 cassette out there is?

"teeth can easily be damaged or broken and cause chain skip" is that really worth the 100g saving?

Cool share!

11-32 is 125g. Vs 196g for red. But all aluminum. That is fine for 50t, 34, or even 32. But 11 teeth in aluminum? Yikes. That would make an “instagram only” bike for sure.

This is like my light chainring thread. Light at what cost?

There an oxy moron here. You want a wide ratio cassette but want it light. I use a close range cassette and squint/grimice more if you are a weenie. Being weenie is not about being practical. Get a grip. Of you want to be practical you'd use heavy durable kit.

That said a Leonardi 9-36t cassette is 233g and not fragile. I'd go 1x and use that.

To answer the Op's question, it would be the Rotor's 11-32 at 150g. But one member here didn't have a good experience with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RpxaufBEdE

OP said he wants to know what's the lightest, and didn't say he bothered about durability.

I'll trust the recon over the rotor to be honest, having the group of cogs at the top shearing off the main body is a real concern. I'm still using it but I am very careful about not shifting under load to help save it.

I use 10s sram red medium cage derailleur using the 1099 11-36t cassette @207gr.

Hard to beat range and weight.

There isn't one (if you count the unibody designs only). They top out at 32t for road and start at 42t for mtb. 42t is 268gr.

Not terrible if you like to climb 30% grades. I'd prefer a 42 over a 36.

Yes there id. 420g too. On a 1* bike it makes sense but I think I'll use a Leonardi cassette.

ZTTO 11-36T(235g), 11-34T(228g):

you can also convert unibody sram red 11-32 or dura-ace 11-30 to 12-36 using this 36t extender cog

I know its an old topic but could maybe someone add why this is a bodge?
I am looking for a climbing cassete, maybe even smaller front chainring and eventually stumbled upon this.
The price is not cheap, you can basically get a 34t oval AB chainring and a 11-34 china cassette for the price of 1 32T chainring + extra 34T cog from gearoop.
So if anyone has any experience with this I would kindly ask for that
