I know this is weightweenies but for headset bearings what is everyone using? I’m looking some for my everyday bike, obviously the lighter the better but this bike gets a lot of use so I want them to last. Can you get away with using lighter bearings or ceramic ones and still have them last? Cheers

I have been using cane creek AER bearings for a little more than a year with no issues or noticeable wear. Much lighter than stock. One of my other bikes I'm using the Extralight UltraTop and UltraBotton. I was concerned about the upper radial micro bearing but has proved to be durable.

AER for me also. The bottom one is what sees the most hurt/hate. So even if you were a big moose, swapping the top to something light is pretty safe.

Will have a look at the AER ones. Had the stock ones in for two years now but something it starting to give a slight creek when out the saddle.
