If I am correct the frame stiffness was far from being at the expected level. Isn’t it the frame where the joints were made out of 2 half shells ?

True, and with good reason. Clearly not all monocoque frames are created equal, so there's no reason to assume lugged or tube-to-tube ones are either.

After all the hype, I found the C60/C64 so unbelieveably underwhelming :noidea:

Impec is more unique than C60 & C64 but which is the better i have no clue of. Unique probably don't equal greatness, so that was the end of that!

My memory of the time was that Cadel didn't ride one until his victory lap (or at least not in key stages), which probably didn't help the marketing.

I did think they looked great at the time, and someone I know had just got a Colnago frame in black and red and the first thing I thought of was "Impec".

I’ve heard that a lot too.

It was the similar case of Pinarello dogma fpx, which was the bike that rode to win the 2006 GC of le tour. However it was shaded in the meanwhile of P's promotion on carbon development (in Asia).

A faded top bike not even mentioned in P's hall of fame... Lucky I got one team edition for my collection.

A monocoque performs better in all areas. That's the long story short.
Try telling that to those hellbent on Colnago C60 and C64.

I don't need to tell anything to people who aren't open to changing their minds :)
