Any ride reports, either direct experience or what you've heard from others? It's been two months since I last asked and three months since the announcement. I've seen them getting delivered to customers in social media, including what appears to be the all-black regular version in addition to the factory edition with blue trim. Surely they are being ridden and people have impressions to share...?

French magazine, Top Velo, just published a review of the RZ7.

I don't speak french so I used Google translate. Overall it seems they enjoyed the bike and felt it succeeded in retaining the Parlee ride quality.

I’ve had mine for about a month.
Ultegra Di2
Parlee arundal cages
HED vanquish 6
Gp5000 tubeless
DA rotors
Fizik bar tape
Ultegra pedals
Weight 8.23 kg

The ride is incredible. I need to drop my bars some, but wanted to not cut things short prematurely.

Last 2 bikes were a Cervelo S3 and Caad12.

The RZ7 seems to just roll easy at 23 or 24 mph on flat ground.

The wheels are incredible too.

Great to hear, and thanks for sharing! Could you share more details about how it corners? Is it stiff when you need it to be? Is it as comfortable as Parlee's marketing claims?
Are those 5000 TL tires 25c or 28c?

It is the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden.

It accelerates much faster than I expected.

It is pretty flat around here, but on one decent that is about a mile long and rather curvy I hit 47 mph. It goes exactly where you want it to.

These are the first carbon bars I have had on a road bike. They have some flex in the drops vertically but I haven’t noticed it while sprinting.

Tires are tubeless, 25 front 28 rear.

The wheels are really impressive, I have had jet 6+, still have jet6+ blacks and Ardennes blacks and these are the cream of the crop.

It seems to be an incredible bike but 8.23kg seems to heavy for what could have been. We may all criticize specialized but even though they have the aeroiseverything mojo they were able to make a venge that weights 7.1kg without pedals (and the ultegra version 7.4kgs). It's possible to make something aero and not going over the 8kg.

I think more apples to apples....the venge would weigh ~8kg with same parts. +250g pedals..wheel weight difference is over 100g(most venge with UDi2 have CL50's).. Gp5000 tires are great but they are fat overweight pigs...venge might be tubed but it's coming with lighter tires. I'm sure Parlee's Stem/bar/seatpost they dont make any attempt to really shed some weight = too bad. It's a nice bike.

Any other impressions/reviews on the RZ7 so far? They've updated their stock spec for 2020 to include Reynolds AR41s (their lower end carbon wheelset) instead of DT alloys, so the value proposition looks a bit better than the launch/factory model. $9700 for SRAM Red eTap, and I think it comes in either black or red.

For anyone interested, Gear Patrol reviewed the RZ7. I'm pretty sure this bike was built up by my LBS.

https://gearpatrol.com/2019/10/04/parlee-rz7-review/

The bike sounds amazing, but the price tag with a middling set of wheels and 17.8 pounds for a medium (I'd need a large) is making me think twice. This bike would end up heavier (and $6.5k more expensive!) than my 10 year old Madone with Ultegra, though presumably a lot more comfortable/aero/stiff, plus 2 more speeds in the cassette and an integrated headset and all that.

Any comparisons against the Altum disc model?
My LBS said they had someone who owns the Altum compare the two, and "it's very smooth and he's broken all of his PRs."
