I'm rebuilding a Cervelo R5, and I'm looking for recommendations for new stem, handlebar, and seatpost to drop the weight. I weigh between 140-145 lbs (63-66kg) and not a sprinter, so stiffness is not a big issue for me. I was looking through the listings, but they seem to be 10+ years old (am I missing something?).

I'm trying to cut the overall weight down. What do you recommend?

Thanks,
Brian

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive alloy setup have a look at the Zipp Service Course SL parts. I'm using the stem and SL-80 bar on one bike I'm very satisfied with the stiffness. You can of course go off to more expensive and boutique bits, but if this rebuild is not your primary princess bike then maybe staying alloy is good enough?

Sorry I do not have the actual weights.

OMNI racer zero offset carbon seatpost is light and inexpensive. On eBay for around $120. Mine had been great going on 3 years now.

Kolloy Uno stem with Ti bolts is sub 100g for a 100mm. $25 shipped on eBay.

I personally like Easton bars. Deals can be found on a carbon EC90slx bar.

Coming in a little lighter is the Williams cycling bar Sub 200g for $139 if the shape works for you

If your R5 is the same generation as mine, the seatpost is proprietary Cervelo, I'm not sure who makes one that is compatible? Before I switched to an Enve Bar/Stem Combo I had good success with Deda aluminium parts. Light and easy/inexpensive to buy online.

Only the 2018+ cervelo have a proprietary seatpost with the internal seatpost clamp. The older one had a proprietary seatpost clamp but the actual seatpost is a standard 27.2mm round seatpost.

I changed my Canyon Ultimate's stock handlebar, stem and seatpost with Ritchey Superlogic which are impressive. Saved some weight and more confortable.

Whichever you decide to go for I would recommend going with the same make for all 3 items. It's not essential but looks good. Saying that of the 5 bikes I've got they've all got different seat posts but matching bars/stem
