The new Deda Superbox stem is yet another possible option, sort of.

Besides its hefty weight, I'm worried that the stack height (= steerer clamping area) of only 30mm may put too much stress on the steerer.

that looks good! the syntace liteforce is 34.5mm stack and i've never had a problem on a cyclocross steerer. 30mm is skinny though

It looks to be the same stem that Colnago uses stock on V3RS.
I quite don't like it to be honest...
- why they used the cheapest alloy and didn't try to save weight?
- 30mm is low stack, they obviously wanted to stay normal 40mm incl. cable sleeve..but visually if you have spacers under the stem the cable sleeve looks like another spacer so it doesn't help visually..

I would prefer if somebody makes neat Canyon like solution for 1 1/8 steerers where you have a deeper groove under the bars and stem in which you lead cables..why this is not more popular? You hide the cables but it is easier to dismount everything..

Found this a few days ago, the Deda Vinci with just a small spacer underneath. Think it would look okay if slammed.

Those plastic spacers are by far and away the fugliest part of the new SS.
C'mon, it ain't that bad :-D
It looks good with no other spacers and that rounded stem suits it nicely; plus with that paint anything would look good :) It does look ugly with a stack of spacers but it’s not unique to the SS6, most integrated bikes are the same now

+1 for the canyon style bars with the channel, I went one of those and it works a treat with the best of both world

Good Morning everybody,

does anybody know if the issue with the small clearance between frame and chain for SRAM 12x still exist?
Considering buying a Hi Mod frame set EF, they go for 1990€ in Germany at the moment....
i'd very appreciate the shop where to buy the frameset for that price ;)

If you want, xou could DM me. Would be very kind!

Thanks a lot!

Dan, or any other person in the know, would it be possible to order an Evo frameset in colour yellow/black, like the one used by the ARA team in Australia?

Is this an option that is/was commercially available in some part of the world?

It is indeed amazing how much retail markup there is on the price. This frameset has an RRP of €4000 and can also be sold for €2200 while still making a profit (I presume). A shop has expenses, of course, but still...

Unless you ride for that team, or Valcar in Italy or Sojasun Espoir ACNC in France or Aevolo in the US, you can't get that frame no.

When does Cannondale make a new one ? mine is still making noise ...
I have been told there isn’t a new one.. that said, I have a replacement coming to me under warranty. I will check to see if there is any difference.

One important thing to check is that the mount has been fitted with the 3m double sided pad (see 6 below). Mine wasn’t supplied with it. Install pictures sent to me by cannondale below...Image

Wait, no.
That surface touch the seatpost which has to slide up and down when you adjust seat height. Why would you 3M tape it???
I only need to tape down part number 5, (as per instruction) to remove all the noise from my set-up. I use gorilla double sided tape which is thicker than 3M double sided tape though.

Aha! So less slippage.

Does it work, have you tried it?
