Cannondale are definitely trying some new stuff with their forks. Funky shape and some innegra/kevlar type material as well.
Delta shape tube of the fork
Cannondale is going to put the cable through the headtube bearing.

That’s gotta be Clara Honsinger’s frames in the photo.

Found the IG post. The fork still has a hose entry hole in the crown, so the V-shaped steerer is for what exactly? Seems like it still has the DT entry point for the rear hose too.

So is this even a new development or have the SuperSix EVO CX/SE fork steerers been like that the whole time?

Yeah, its definitely interesting. My first thought was that it is to route cables through the headset but that doesn't really fit with this frame or any of Cannondales current frames. Maybe it was developed for this rumoured new frame and they decided it had other advantages for the rest of their lineup. It does seem like it will need a specific stem though :noidea:

So that they can have their own D-shaped steerer failure and recall / constant-revision problems. Also non-round steerer is something for marketing to talk about ... even if it serves zero purpose.

I don't think so ... if they were using a kevlar or dyneema / vectran weave in the steerer they'd have marketed the shit out of it, and we'd have seen. Also, could just be the photos, but downtube looks much fatter.

Hi, question to all S6 di2 or etap riders:
Should there be a plug or anything with the frameset to close the hole for the mechanical front derraileur?
Does anybody know the part number?

I want to ride a Sram etap on the frameset.

Thx!
You can make something fitting with Sugru.

The new SSE will have a one-piece handlebar for the triangel steerer tube.

Did your LBS happen to mention release date or anything like that?

No word on release date from mine but it seems supply chain woes will continue for at least a short while as I was told they'll contact me "soon" about placing an order for the '24 frame that would show up next fall.

Next fall? Thanks for that info. I was really hoping it'd be out for spring/summer next year. Might be time to start looking at different bikes I guess.

For anyone who knows about the next-gen SSE, would you consider it on par with the SL7? Currently thinking about an SL7 but will hold out if Cannondale has something on par with the SL7

I would place it higher due to better aerodynamics and similar weight.
You can use regular stem on it too.

Impossible to say. The main difference, and it’s quite essential, is that the sl7 « rides » quite better than the SSe3 (on top of aero and nicer integration aesthetically).

Chairman is usually pretty reliable. Hoping that someone gives us a photo or something soon to see if I can wait for 2024 or go for the SL7
