Hi all
Want to install red 22 cranks with integrated spider on caad13.
DS - nothing, NDS - Wave Washer & 3 ±2 0.5 mm shims, I'm correct??

ps. It's 1.5mm overall or I need 2,5mm shims? Thank you..
I've just got 2 wave washers on the NDS and that's it, no gap.

I left one wave-washer on NDS, but now the distance between DS crank-arm to the chain stay is only 7mm, it's ok? What the minimum gap must be?

2mm.
Just enough to prevent them from rubbing with each other with the precense of dirt is enough.

are you sure? but if carbon cranks will flex it will damage the frame, my NDS - 9mm, DS - 7mm & i think 7mm its not enough..

So, what kind of answer do you want me to answer?
You want me to say not enough, need more clearance? Okay. I can say that too.

Red 22 cranks barely flex. It's not some light cranks that flex inward significantly with high torque (exotic light crank like SkyPivot, and some othe cheaper stuff do though).
Other than that, Supersix Evo has chainstay shaped to flex. But it's controlled flex. The part near bb is slim to increase clearance, not to flex side way. The whole structure is rigid against sideway flex. The actual part that flex is further back than that where it's slim top to bottom. It's to flex up and down and not side way into your crank. Caad13 design similarly as well.

Have you ever heel rub against chainstay? How much damage a light rub can cause? The carbon crank is even less abrasive than shoe leather.

Thanks, that's the one tab I didn't click on his YouTube!

Snap :D

Mine arrived a week or so ago. I used Sculpteo, which came in cheaper at 65 euros (I'm in the UK but it was faster and cheaper to get it from them in Paris). I'm using Loctite EA 9461 (recommened by Luescher). I have everything apart and am prepping the inside of the head tube at the moment, might have it glued in by the end of today.

Did you install it yourself? Luescher says it's not trivial.
I think he may have been referring to the repair plus installation, not installation to an undamaged frame, in which case I'd agree. You do need to get the prep right though.

I do have previous experience of carbon frame repairs with expoy, and repairs with epoxy more widely though. Not sure whether I'd DIY if I didn't have that experience.

Nice but that 0.06kg would be annoying me

I did end up fitting Luescher's part yesterday, happy with the job.

Has anyone epoxied in the nut base for the seatpost clamp? Mine has (predictably, for something under torque pressure which is fitted with double sided sticky tape!) come out.

I can't really see a reason why this isn't properly glued in? It would also remove the risk of rotation identified in the owner's manual supplement...

Also one side of the inside of my clamp seems to be fubared.

I presume I need a new one?

Cannondale engineers huh :noidea:

thank you, but i mean gap between crank & chainstay
ps. overall i dont like the chainline of red 22 cranks & bb30a with one wave-washer on ND-side, i hear some strange noise of chain with big chain ring when spin the cranks! :( lil cog on cassette & big cog on crankset hasn't true line...

I am considering to sell my supersix evo hi-mod my 2021 team replica rapha frameset, size 54 with 17.5mm fork uncut underneath top position of stem to headset bearing. Great condition, only small scratch on chainstay. Located in EU.

It's still in phase of consideration, so let me know if you are interested. I think 2800 Eur would be nice start of discussion.
