Do you mean with respect to BB creaking?

I haven’t had any friends with recent Cannondale BB30 bikes who have had any creaking issues, at least no more than other brands that have been using BB30. Although I think Trek is really in the right track with threads.

I never had any issues with my Caad10 creaking until I stuck a stupid Praxis converter in it and used a Shimano crank. A lot *of BB creaking issues can be fixed by good installation.

I've been on BB30/PF30 Cannondales road/mtb/cx bikes for more than the last 10 years, the only creak I ever heard was when I used KCNC skewers. I agree that in most cases, creaks come from improper installations or lack of maintenance.

IIRCt he BB30 standard is too loose on the tolerances, and PF30 tighter and also requires direct coupling in form of a tube shape between the faces of the shell. Don't know about BB30A.

I do hope T47 gets implemented by many, but I don't expect Cannondale to be an early adopter.

Working in a Cannondale dealers we often had bikes back for creaky BB’s, mostly they could be fixed but not always.
We had one customer on the top of the range team FSI and after having the bike back to Cannondale twice he eventually returned it.
We had a staff member on a creaky Caad9, we stopped the frame completely, when you put sideways pressure through the frame the actual frame itself was creaking.

Most times it can be solved, not always.
Not just a Cannondale problem though.

This gets dragged up all the time, it is interesting but I keep looking at the scale and can’t help but feel it’s blown outa proportion. 0.04mm range should be filled up with loctite.

More concerning would be bearings that are not parallel. I believe the new venge has a tube in the bb for alignment.

BTW I have a hambini bb in my canyon, never had a squeak on shimano press fit, but the hambini adds stiffness and responsiveness. Highly recommended.

I own CAAD12 which use BB30A... Installed Campagnolo Cups just using Morgan Blue, so no Loctite, no anything fancy... Almost 3000km since January, not a single creak.. (The only creaking i sometimes get is from the seatpost/seatpost clamp but nothing serious for now)....

And (if I'm reading it right) Cervelo have a fairly tight range bang in the middle of where it should be. That'll blow some minds.

Cervelo has recently changed their tolerances - I'm not actually sure when they did this.

I have two bbright documents, the first, when I originally bought my S5 ~2013 and the second which I downloaded last week. Their Rev 2 has a ridiculous tolerance range 45.88 to 45.96mm for the bore size (it was originally 45.96 - 45.98). I believe they did this so that customers could not do warranty returns.

A tolerance range of almost 0.1mm is ridiculous.

Well, hearing Micheal Matthews' new 2019 S5 creaking loudly in a Milan-Sanremo recon video posted by his team does seem to imply Cervélo have solved having to warranty frames but with no intention to solve anything else... Certainly wasn't good for marketing.

I hadn't watched that video and turned up the volume assuming you may need to listen closely... that's a noisy bike!

I'm not sure what surprises me the most, that a pro's bike that is being maintained regularly by pro mechanics could get to that point (it could be Matthews' 'home' bike that he himself maintains though) or that Cervélo didn't stop that video from being published.

Cervelo has a lifetime warranty. Just get a new one every couple years.
