Cant really see much difference, besides all the goo in the new pic. I thought there's supposed to be a metal insert in the new frames? Maybe I just don't see it ... 🤔

Thanks, that composite pic shows the difference much more clearly. A bit more carbon is certainly a good idea. But is the pin (or, in Raoul's words: "blade") still a thin metal piece? And are there metal inserts on the side walls and stops (I have seen that in a different pic but can't see metal in this new pic)?

Else, that extra carbon is a mitigation, but not a solution for the flawed original design, IMHO.

There is indeed a metal plate on my my21. I have added also foam tape on top of that.
But i am still considering to remove the metal pin on the fork.

I have an EF Education 2021 frame and I can confirm the metalplates to protect the sidewall of the headtue.
Question might be wat if you file away the pin on the fork crown? I guess there will be much more stress on the cables if you turn the handlebar?

But you are not going to turn the handlebar that angle that strongly so you cut cables.

The thing on my bike is...to turn the steering all the way to touch the stopper is hard because of my internal mechanical cables pass thru (they kinda stop the steering before the stopper) lol

So im not concerned

Buy a proper brand next time

I'm running internal mechanical gear cables with the soigneur kit. Works great but the cables do creak quite noisily when turning the bars.

Thought about putting some foam liner over them but concerned it might actually make it worse as there'll be no room left for any movement. Second thought was spraying some GT85 on the cables but doesn't feel like a good idea either.

Any suggestions?

Why is it nonsense? It's true for pretty much all brands and has been standard in the bike industry forever. AFAIK warranties on bikes pretty much always only apply to original owners and only if bought from authorized dealers, it's not a Cannondale thing.

Yeah, true for most of the household bike brand names, which are mostly just markekting organizations selling product manufactured elsewhere, but not true for all bicycle manufacturers.

I have succesfully registered plenty of product (frames, wheelsets, complete bikes) for warranty after buying them from random shops, heck - even from eBay (Lightweight, Parlee, Time, Moots etc.). There are still companies who stand behind their product and spend more ressources on capable engineers than on capable lawyers.
