I'd suggest lodging a warranty crash replacement claim directly with Cannondale.adberg87 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:28 pmTo clear things up, the crash warranty is from Cannondale, which is a small discount on a replacement frame. I had no luck finding any LBS with any stock, nor any future availability looking any but promising. They did offer a hi-mod at the standard price, just not within my price range.RDY wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 6:49 pmIf they offer a crash warranty programme it's part of the package when you buy the bike. If they can't keep replacement stock of the frame then it isn't the buyer's problem. They should provide a Hi-Mod instead if they have that, or with a small charge to you.adberg87 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 6:10 pmRecently had a crash on my beloved supersix. It was bad, but the bike faired decently considering. The damage seems to be the handlebar "limiter" head tube crack to the extreme. LBS said it was done, and stated there are no supersix non hi-mod frames to be found in the US, so crash warranty seems out of the question. What does everyone here think? Repairable?

Are We Getting A New Cannondale Supersix?
Moderator: robbosmans
Yeah, definitely do this. It won't be quick (I was recently quoted September for a replacement frame) I was told that my bike was safe to ride until then and that the damage was "cosmetic", but then your damage is much worse than mine. I'm not sure if I buy that, or if I'm comfortable riding it, but I guess we'll see. But at least you will have a new frame (hopefully) for free.RDY wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:31 pmI'd suggest lodging a warranty crash replacement claim directly with Cannondale.adberg87 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:28 pmTo clear things up, the crash warranty is from Cannondale, which is a small discount on a replacement frame. Mine was also cracked in a crash in June of last year. It was deemed rideable while I waited for a replacement frame and my standard frame was replaced with a Hi-Mod version. Just got it last week finally.

I am guessing it should come in at about 45g. The original with the bolts was 75g. The upper and lower cradles 48g
My post, stripped, is 124g.

What yokes did you go for? I just got a set of the zrace ones of Ali exp- not convinced they will hold my arione carbon rails securely
Anyone used these yokes?
I'm looking to replace my stock expander + top cap, the Ultrastar seems to be a good replacement option.Jackofallgrades wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:42 pmI use an Ultrastar expander (4 I think) which works fine and shaved a bit off but not huge savings... it was also a bloody tight fit into the fork
Do you have any feedback on it?
Thanks.

It was an extremely tight fit, even completely loosened off. I wouldn't recommend since it was a complete b*stard to get out when the time came.card0s wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 10:24 amI'm looking to replace my stock expander + top cap, the Ultrastar seems to be a good replacement option.Jackofallgrades wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:42 pmI use an Ultrastar expander (4 I think) which works fine and shaved a bit off but not huge savings... it was also a bloody tight fit into the fork

The name implies it's just a new paint job but the fact it's been submitted to the UCI and is classified for all disciplines and not just road implies it must be a new frame
Has anyone had issues with the seatpost slipping? I’ve had > 2500kms on my 2021 hi mod and it’s been fine. However, I recently had a bike fit and needed to move the post 5mm. Ever since It’s been moved it’s been constantly slipping. I’ve tried totally cleaning it and re greasing wedge / applying carbon paste to post and wedge then torquing to 6nm, even tried 7 but it still slips.
My wife's supersix had this problem. Even my mechanic didn't solved.Stewche wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 2:29 pmHas anyone had issues with the seatpost slipping? So, i've tried to do exactly the same as the owner's manual shows (page 16 to 19). And I solved.
I think the two things that make this possible is:
1. i used the fsa carbon past that came with the bike, then i passed into the seat post and the slidding clamp (the metal plate, pg. 17, item 3).
2. the seat binder must need to be straight (pg. 19 of the owner's manual) , even when you put the seatpost, then torque it to 6nm.
Here in Brazil, theres a lot of complaining about the seatpost slipping, mostly in the mtb, so Cannondale managed to substitute the slidding clamp to a similir, but with some kind of sandpaper or like a abrasive texture.
I hope that it was useful.
Cheers.
