Sorry for posting this, but after a number of calls to various Bianchi dealers I'm having no luck finding an answer.

Question for those who have the Metron 5D handlebars with their Oltre XR4 rim brake framesets. Do the handlebars come with the bottom mount "teardrop-to-round" cover that the regular (non Celeste) Metron 5D comes with? Better yet, what about the FSA teardrop topcone that mates perfectly with the handlebars - do the handlebars come with this? I don't have this topcone and am planning on ordering the Celeste handlebars and I'm wondering what the handlebars will look like without it. Very strange that Bianchi doesn't include the correct topcone with the Metron handlebars.

Basically, I'm wondering if the Bianchi Metron 5D comes with part #15 in the diagram below:

I've had two celeste color Metron 5D's (1st one cracked) and both had the same cap (#15) as in the pic.

Thanks for the reply Noctiluxx. I’m glad that the handlebars come with the lower trim piece but I must admit the whole setup looks odd without that matching topcone. I’m trying to find this part online.

You know I was initially bothered by it but don't even notice it anymore. Glory Cycle might be a good source for that part. Good luck.

I actually have no idea what you're talking about but I'm attaching a picture of my Oltre XR4.

I think this may depend really on the distributor (i.e., the source that supplies to the dealer/LBS/online shop). For some reason the garmin mount was not included in mine, and when I asked the distributor said they weren't supplied those mounts for my market, so I had to raise a bit of a fuss and so they managed to source one and provide it to me for free but it took 2 weeks or so.

Yeah, your XR4 has the topcone adapter that matches the profile of the aero spacers. Gorgeous Bianchi!

Isn't that topcone adapter what you want as well or why do you want part #15? (that honestly looks just wrong on the Oltre)

Isn't that topcone adapter what you want as well or why do you want part #15? (that honestly looks just wrong on the Oltre)

I was wondering if the handlebars came with the bottom mount adapter. Otherwise the spacers would look really odd just sitting on top of the regular round topcone. The aero topcone def doesn’t come with the handlebars and needs to be ordered separately.

I thought this was weight weenies! Trying to shave off a few grams by not using bar tape on a section of the bar I never grab

Actually it was more for style - I like the black contrast on the bottom.
