Aesthetically and for some technical aspects (the width), the Portugaise Gelu carbon saddle may have been their “inspiration”

It is not the same as both the dimensions and the weight are different. The gelu K3 is even lighter at 38gr - http://www.gelucarboncreation.com/

I've been using a K1 on my MTB and a K3 on my road bike for more than 20000km (together) and i had absolutely no problem whatsoever, i can even ride >8h long rides with nothing but absolut comfort.

k3 is something i might be interested in. Those Gelu carbon saddles look pretty good spec wise.

It does look a lot like a Gelu without the higher weight allowance.
