Getting a new Bike in December/ January: Anyone have a clue whether DA 9200 Di2 is available by then, or is this still completely unknown or even known not to be the case...
Dont hold your breath. It will be most likely announced before TdF 2021 and around the 100year Shimano anniversary. And availability is usualy several months later so probably September 2021 earliest.
and why can't you present it and make it available in a few days ......... check out the latest XT, SLX, Deore releases .... in a few days after the presentation it was available

or present the Dura-ace and the Ultegra at the same time

My bike shop believes a March announcement (in line with the countdown clock on the Shimano website), but no one has a guess on actual availability.

So if that is new DA it's a Porsche 911 style change to the hoods in that basically they look to be exactly the same (or they are they just the existing version), and no change to the brakes, derailleurs or cranks?
There are no photos of any new DA anywhere in this thread.

No I do not.

I was asking why other people thought it was new given it looked like a bad render on the hoods and every other component looked exactly the same as the existing DA

Any chance he knows if Ultegra Di2 is announced also next year or I have to wait 22?

We were only discussing Dura Ace, historically they've never released both at same time so I wouldn't count on it

Historically they also never had a 100 year anniversary before
But jokes aside, just imagining all the components Shimano would have to stockpile in order to have a somewhat reasonable availability on both a new DuraAce and Ultegra and all the money they would have to bind is those. Just based on this I also wouldn't expect much besides maybe an announcement on what might be available with an Ultegra update in 2021
