So 700€ for the PM option at DA and no PM option for UT at the start at the moment. Also +1000€ UT and +1500€ DA compared to 11s street pricing at R2 bike... I wonder if and how fast the prices will come down..wheelsONfire wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 9:25 amhttps://r2-bike.com/Road-Dura-Ace-Di2-12-speed

And perhaps, what will they finally settle on!?henau212 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 1:59 pmSo 700€ for the PM option at DA and no PM option for UT at the start at the moment. No. The wire adaptor is for using with the 11-speed TT shifters only. The 11-speed regular shifters are firmware locked to be 100% incompatible with 12-speed components. To upgrade to 12-speed you're forced to buy new shifters unless your bike is a TT bike.
I guess that’s not the end of the world, just add shifters so the upgrade becomes ~$600 more expensive. They will go on sale eventually…or maybe the firmware can be upgraded. People have been reflashing ECU’s for decades, we need a bike performance shop to do the same.pdlpsher1 wrote:No. The wire adaptor is for using with the 11-speed TT shifters only. I went back to the two links to compare stated weights and it seems they have now both wit and without powermeter for dA.wheelsONfire wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 9:25 amhttps://r2-bike.com/Road-Dura-Ace-Di2-12-speed

Nonetheless, and if the weights are to be believed, the ultegra groupset is too good to go to duraace. The difference tops at 200gr (it depends on source but is maximum of 200gr) where 85 of those are cassette and chain that are the easiest swaps to be made. The price difference between the two easily leaves space for that upgrade and even an entirely new crankset which is actually the biggest drag in the shimano gruppo. One being able to get a lighter than stock duraace and maybe even saving some money by going ultegra.
I wonder if this is also the case with sram red vs force gruppos.
I guess you also need the new battery if it's firmware blocked. Plus 2 new ew300 cables and the front derailleur. I'm sure 8070 and 9170 calipers can be used with 12s shifters though. I use grx di2 shifters with servo together with 8070 calipers and that works great.scatsob wrote:I guess that’s not the end of the world, just add shifters so the upgrade becomes ~$600 more expensive.pdlpsher1 wrote:No. The wire adaptor is for using with the 11-speed TT shifters only. first build video on 12 speed with weights. shifting looks super duper fast vs sram.

I would have used Rotor Aldhu carbon, but the 46mm chainline version have very high Q-factor, which is a bummer.pmprego wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 6:57 amI went back to the two links to compare stated weights and it seems they have now both wit and without powermeter for dA.wheelsONfire wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 9:25 amhttps://r2-bike.com/Road-Dura-Ace-Di2-12-speed

I don't think i would use a Shimano crank actually. I would buy something with a 30mm spindle.
And yes, i agree, no chance i would buy DA anymore. It's way too expensive.

I see standard road and offset road axle in Rotor's website for Aldhu Carbon. I suppose one of them is 46mm. How do I know which one to choose for my bike?
