What does this mean? Explain it to us non-Di2 users thinking to try the new Di2, lol. Wireless? Semi-wireless? No change in terms of wiring?
It is not so much next gen DA as details about the new Spec SL7 seatpost and an attachment that will allow for mounting an EW-RS910 into the back side of the seat post right below the clamp. The image also illustrated the battery mount Specialized made that is specific to that seat post as well as the installation and recommended wiring lengths and orientation to which several of us commented that there was room for more econimization.

But it will be worth it when it comes out. Actual improvement in the shifting, plus the rumoured improvement in hydraulic brakes.
The other company released a new generation by adding a 12th cog and three letters as well as changing the chainring and cog sizes for no real reason. And they just re-used the brakes from the previous generation (!!!)
Jumping ship just because something takes longer than you want it to take is never going to be a good decision...

Shimano's 100th anniversary is next year... if I was a bettin' man, I'd say that's when the new DA will be introduced, as part of the anniversary celebration.
Given where we are in 2020, and all the ugliness of this wicked (and still untamed) disease distracting from so many other important things, I would probably say you're right. Too late for me now anyhow, I have bitten the bullet and installed 9150 on my new C64 and, despite cursing a few moments when I was routing cables through bars...and then pulling them back out because I forgot something (which is totally due to my shitty bike building skills, not Shimano or anyone else), I have to say that I am super happy with it.
