And good news, the RD is DM compatible
Few pics with weights too, the OSPW adds circa 30g over standard mech.

I made two types of electric downtube shifters, friction and Di2.

Brilliant build, I guess it can't get any much better than that!
Which Quarq crank do you use? Is this the lighter and not longer available GXP or heavier DUB version? Or am I mixing things up here?
Thanks.

Gxp is heavier. The light quarq dub v1 aren’t available anymore, you can get the Red crankarms tho
Indeed is the V1/D1 Quarq (same as the current Red).
They stopped producing it a while back and now superseded by the V2/D2 model which is 140g heavier.
There's a workaround if you have the patience...

thanks a lot for the detailed explanation. Highly appreciated!
One last question, do you remove the complete clear coating before clear coating the crank again or you just spray it on some spots over the exisiting one?
Thanks a lot!
It looks like you switched the axle as well? 130g couldn't be removed by sanding alone, could it?

Quarq D1 cranks are based on Red cranks while Quarq D2 are based on Force cranks. Force cranks are 140g heavier than Red. You don't remove remove a lot of weight by sanding the cranks. I did the same to my Quarq D1 cranks and if I rememember correctly it was 1g or less. I also did it on Red22 cranks and there it was a bit more.
I did it because I prefer the raw carbon look, not because of the weight reduction.

Yeah, I'm aware of it all, maybe I just misunderstood what ryanw posted, it sort of suggested to me that with some extra effort you could "translate" the D2 cranks into D1 weight wise.
