That's what most reviewers said, but that is also in comparison to previous generation Dura Ace. I'm wondering whether the latest gen Dura Ace disc brake has closes the gap to Campagnolo.
I think the weight comparison between the Dura Ace R9170 and R9200 are missing some information. To be fair, in order to compare the whole functional system, we need to add the junctions, 4 extra cables, wireless unit to the R9170 system weight. That's an additional of 40grobbosmans wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 2:45 pmFull weight comparison: https://ccache.cc/blogs/newsroom/2022-r ... comparison

CCache also states this on their website yes, but it gives a good comparison between the core components

Ahhhh. Learning that the rim brake STI levers are wired crushed my plans.
Had hopes on retrofitting an old mechanical frame that had external cable stops. I can deal with the FD and RD wire being exposed and I can tuck those away clean, but the cable coming from the L/R STI cables will be too much of an eyesore. Oh well.

You only need one Di2 cable coming from the downtube to the handlebar / shifter. That can be combined with the brake line for the rear brake in many cases. And some heatshrink tubing. The shifters can be connected with another Di2 cable. Most of it can be hidden beneath the handlebar tape.
The new generation Di2 cables are really small, maybe 2mm in diameter. It really shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Interesting, WaynosFotos made a video when 9200 was announced comparing weights of groupsets on using mainly CCACHE quoted weights vs 9200 weight from some article. Found that 9200 was 2.43kg only slightly heavier than 105 mechanical disc. However he completely ignored that CCACHE excludes batteries, rotors (seemingly?) and BB weights.robbosmans wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 2:45 pmFull weight comparison: https://ccache.cc/blogs/newsroom/2022-r ... comparison

For the people who were worried about cassette spares:

Only 11-34 though, but it's something

Do we know if the weights include the SRAM batteries for the weight of the derailleurs? Big difference in total weight between DA and Sram Red which is really interesting.robbosmans wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 4:52 pmCCache also states this on their website yes, but it gives a good comparison between the core components

ah yes, was just looking at the image in the post; weight would seem to be an area where Sram should be focusing on in the next iteration of Red.mgrl wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 12:25 pmThey do, check the notes at the top: https://ccache.cc/blogs/newsroom/2021-r ... comparisonAgMar wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 11:56 amDo we know if the weights include the SRAM batteries for the weight of the derailleurs?robbosmans wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 4:52 pmCCache also states this on their website yes, but it gives a good comparison between the core components
Can you tell us what is that 'sleeve' for lack of a better word that appears to be slid over the end of the handlebar?
