I've the new 2021 DA C50 wheels and in comparsion to PCW 4540, 4550, Hunt 44 Carbon spokes, Specialized CLX 50, ENVE 4.5 and winspace wheels, the Hub by Shimano is supper smooth and momenteum is very solid. It is not the lightest 50mm but I would say as it is my preferred wheel now. The engagement and roll is so smooth makes CK hubs or whatever cermic bearing hubs obsolete! The wheel do not feel harsh, have set it up with Tubes with 25mm corsa and also now on tubeless GP5000 TRS.

Has anyone ridden the new DA 9200 wheels? What's the new freehub like? I haven't seen any mention of POE anywhere and I'm curious about that.

the rotors are not new.... so it must be the 10% improvement for the calipers.

There will be new Dura Ace and Ultegra rotors later this year. (maybe it's old news, havent followed the complete topic)

Where did you hear that/what are they to look like/will improve on?

Got the info from someone working for Shimano, so I'm quite sure it's correct.

It is mounted on Chris Froome's bike, I found it in a recent video from Froomey.

Is this red substance in the caliper joint supposed to be there on the Ultegra 8100-series calipers? Got it both front and rear.

That’s looks like brake oil leaking. Better to go to your lbs to check them before something bad happen

That's because you're comparing his rotor with the 160mm rotor when his is likely a 140mm. Check a photo of a 140mm RT-MT800 rotor and compare and it's probably the same

Your first Shimano hub? Most of the higher end ones are like that...

Your first Shimano hub? Most of the higher end ones are like that...

I was more interested in the engagement of the freehub. Shimano hubs always roll super smoothly, but I much prefer the working of at DT Swiss ratchet freehub to Shimano's traditional pawl freehubs. The 9200 wheels have moved to something more akin to the DT Swiss design and that look appealing.

Since this is my first time on an electronic groupset (and disc brakes) I need to ask a possibly dumb question: do I need to take special precautions when cleaning my bike? Or can I continue just to use a low pressure garden hose, soap and sponge on the entire thing?

You want to avoid contaminating the rotors and brake pads (with lube/oil). I still use sponge and car schampo on rotors but always before contact with any part of drivetrain (new sponge every wash). Have washed electronic groupsets w. garden hose since 2014 without any issues.
