99.9% sure this will work but anyone know if DA hood covers fit on Ultegra?

Also does anyone know the specs on the free stroke adjustment screw/bolt? I stripped the head of mine and want to replace it but I can't find any info on the length or thread pitch

Check the support bolt on the FD. That's the most common culprit when it comes to FD issues. I'd loosen the support bolt, loosen the RD mounting bolt, swing the FD so that the tail of the cage is slightly inboard, tighten the RD mounting bolt, turn the support bolt until the cage is parallel with the big ring.
Just an update, you were right. Since I re-installed the FD paying very careful attention to the support bolt I haven't had anymore issues with the FD and it even shifts up smoothly to the big chainring under load when climbing, which it used to struggle with (previously sometimes it would complete the shift sometimes it would fail). Very glad you nudged me to go back and reset things. I must have done it wrong or too quickly the first time I mounted the FD. :beerchug:

Will there be 12s mechanical 105 for RIM BRAKES? (Basicaly, 12s mechanical rim brakes STIs)?
Road: 2018 Cannondale SuperSix EVO gen2 rim size 56 (raw stripped) 6.72kg
CX: 2014 Bridgestone Anchor CX6 Equipe 105 rim size 55 8.65kg

It's been out for quite some time already:

That's not rim brake. The only 12 sp rim brake setup that Shimano offers is DuraAce and Ultegra DI2. There is no Shimano 12sp rim brake mechanical shifting product.

Hey all looking at disk brake pad compatability with my DA 9270. Seems they came with K05TI-RX but most retailers are selling L05A-RF. Apart from the fin design are there any differences?

TIA

The difference is the titanium backing plate, which is lighter. The resin compound is the same.

All components showing on E-tube and battery charged. No front or rear shift but steady green light when shifters used. What is going on all?

Looking for a super compact chainset for Dura ace 9250 on a gravel bike. The only one I can find is a Stone 48/33T. Any other recommendations on anything similar. Bike currently has a 50/34.... How much difference does that 33 v 34T make?
Cheers

If the fin backing plate is aluminum it might not necessarily be heavier than the titanium (smaller) backing plate. Is that the case? I'm sure they are weighed somewhere around here.

I'm bored at work so I did some digging on Shimano's latest 5th gen (rensin) & 4th gen (sintered) pads:

non finned:
K05S-RX Resin: 17g w/ steel backing inc spring
K05Ti-RX Resin: 12.2g w/ Ti backing inc spring
K04Ti-MX Sintered: 15.5g w/ Ti backing inc spring
There is also a 4th gen sintered steel option K04S-MX that wasn't on R2 likely wight of 20.3g w/ steel backing inc spring.

finned:
L05A-RF Resin: 16.9g w/ alloy backing inc spring
L04C-MF Sintered: 24.7g w/ partial alloy & partial steel backing (without spring in weight image?)

That makes 6 active Shimano pads between sintered or resin pad and steel or alloy or Ti backing for their 2 pot calipers.

I use 9170 dura ace covers on my 8170 ultegra levers because ultegra ones weren't available in the shop, same shape and they work perfectly fine though not stated as compatible in the xbox.
