The interesting part here is that the PCB supports three E-Tube connects (as seen on the far left part of the middle photo).
I'm not saying they'll use all three, but it's nice to know the circuitry is there :)

Yes, but I meant as in having solid red for 11 to 25% and blinking red for 1 to 10%.

Thanks Terry for the info. So the new setup has eliminated quite a few pieces from the old setup, namely 1) junction A, 2) charging brick, 3) D-Fly, and 4) junction B and few wires. These components together cost north of $300. It's nice to see a cost saving that will offset some expected increase in prices on other components.

Does anyone know if there's a FCC report on the new power meter? I searched for one but can't find it.

I use D-Fly and I have the Di2 battery % displayed on my Garmin headunit. That way I won't forget to charge the battery.

Those will save a few grams. Let's see how much the lever batteries and wireless components add. Though, batteries have improved since 9100 was introduced. Maybe denser batteries will save some weight. Let's see. But between rotors, calipers, chain, cassette, and batteries, 160g seems within reach.

A few pages back, there was a rumour that the rim group would be fully wired instead of wireless from shifters to derailleurs. The rim shifters having an extra port could back that rumour up, as they would need to be connected to a Junction A if wired.

There would be no need for junction A as junction A has become part of the RD. The extra port would just be used to connect to the battery. If the new rim brake levers are truly wired then there's little incentive for people to upgrade their existing rim brake levers. As for the existing hydro levers they won't be compatible with the new derailleurs which will add perhaps $600 to upgrade to 12-speed.

OOO- could you confirm if the rim brake levers are indeed wired?

Everything seems to indicate that they will be wireless between levers and the 'back end', but that you can choose to wire it if you want to given it's just a standard Di2 cable. I'm not sure what the use-case is where you'd choose to wire it, I guess if your frame was already wired, but flexibility is a winner

Because most pros will still want wired for performance/reliability

Has there even been a report of radio interference causing reliability issues in a race? Sounds like FUD to me.

Maybe that should have been: Because most pros will still want wired for "perceived" performance/reliability

Agree that etap doesn't have a wireless reliability issue but pros can be a very conservative bunch, particularly when they don't have to route the cable :)

Pro cyclist: "hmm... Let me analyse the eleteonic wireless module for me to decide between wireless and wired"

Come on... If they give you a bike and say "here's rhe bew groupset from shimano" you (the pro cyclist) just say "cool, lets ride"

They are paid to ride not to analyse electronic boards and components. This is why this thread gets so derailled all the time.
