slightly offtopic, the 12 speed version is designed for SRAM 12s road? Sram 12s MTB? Campy 12s? or Shimano 12s? they all use different chains, so im curious if anyone has tried.
Some say pour 10ml water out of your bottle to save that last bit of the weight. Sorry, i go one step further, i tend to the rider off my bikes.
n+1...14 last time i checked, but i lost count

I have the phantom skip too! I was using a brand new PYC chain, I changed it out for a used KMC that was still in good condition, the cassette had been used previously for about 700km on another bike. Set the B limit on the 32tooth with about 4mm gap seems to have stopped the skip, on a Di2 setup. So far OK, I love the 32 for the odd pesky 20% climbs.MichaelB wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 11:40 pmBought a ZTTO 11-32 cassette in the November sales for A$58 delivered, and finally got a chnace to fit it and ride it for a bit. At the same timne, aslo bought a pair of lightly used SRAM Red versions for A$300 for the pair.
The ZTTO fitted fine, and for the most part worked a treat, but have found that at medium load or higher, in the 15T cog, it will skip a tooth. Need to pull it off an have a closer look, and unless I can work the cause out, it'll end up in the recycling bin.
Meh, had to try

I think the answer is "all of the above" as long as you're not using a SRAM flat top chain with Shimano or Campag rings, and your freehub is Hyperglide.WorkonSunday wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 7:39 amslightly offtopic, the 12 speed version is designed for SRAM 12s road? I tried one on a spare set of wheels with my Factor LS and it doesn't seem to work properly. It skips in a few of the middle cogs, so I think its not compatible with the flat top chain. Was hoping it would work so I could use on my trainer that has HG freehub. It probably would "work" if left in one cog that doesn't skip and just use ERG mode, but otherwise I don't think its compatible with AXS road.RDY wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 7:57 pmI think the answer is "all of the above" as long as you're not using a SRAM flat top chain with Shimano or Campag rings, and your freehub is Hyperglide.WorkonSunday wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 7:39 amslightly offtopic, the 12 speed version is designed for SRAM 12s road? Might make a seperate thread, but has anyone used the ZTTO/SROAD 11-42 or 11-40 lightweight cassettes? Rocking a 1x setup for my current weenie build and want something lighter than the 400+ gram SunRace monster that I'm rocking right now.
2014 Madone 5.9 w/R9100 shifters and R8000 everything else- using 38mm ICANs or 60/90 SuperTeams- 7.25kgs with the ICANs and Garmin Vector S dual sided PM pedals- not super light but not a dog, either!
What tooth count was your skipping tooth ?Seven1816 wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 8:44 amI have the phantom skip too! Put a different new cassette on, no drama at all, so think it's the ZTTO cassette.
Will try again with another cahin on a new wheelset and see if it repeats.
I ve been using an 11-34 with Red WiFli and Ulegra chain for about a year on a gravel bike. Everything is fine; I don't think I would notice the difference versus the 11-32 XG1190 I had before.
I would like an 11-30 for a road bike, but none of these manufacturers seem to have one.

My skip was mainly in the mid gears, always when you put some power out at low cadence. Mine is sorted now so happy for the moment.MichaelB wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 11:45 pmWhat tooth count was your skipping tooth ?Seven1816 wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 8:44 amI have the phantom skip too! a side note, 12spd SRAM mtb eagle cassette has the same cog spacing as 11 speed, they added the 12th cog by overhanging it over the freehub flange towards the disc rotor direction, where as campy and AXS have borrower cog spacing as these system tried to squeeze the 12th cog into what used to be space for 11 cogs.
strangely there is report that campy 12 spd cassette works well with force AXS system+flattop chain

Does this mean 11s chains are compatible with 12s SRAM MTB cassettes?WorkonSunday wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 7:50 ama side note, 12spd SRAM mtb eagle cassette has the same cog spacing as 11 speed, they added the 12th cog by overhanging it over the freehub flange towards the disc rotor direction

in theory yes, but not sure in practice. i used a 12 speed eagle chain + eagle front chain ring in my 11 speed system, not sure the other way round.Klaster_1 wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 8:11 amDoes this mean 11s chains are compatible with 12s SRAM MTB cassettes?WorkonSunday wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 7:50 ama side note, 12spd SRAM mtb eagle cassette has the same cog spacing as 11 speed, they added the 12th cog by overhanging it over the freehub flange towards the disc rotor direction

Well that doesn't mean it's not compaitble with AXS road. It's unfortunate if it doesn't work with the flat top chain, but you should still be able to use it with RD and FD.JeffK wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 11:11 pmI tried one on a spare set of wheels with my Factor LS and it doesn't seem to work properly. But there's very little reason to use a SRAM flat top chain unless you're using their chainrings ... and if you're not using their cassette, why use their chainrings? Flat top chain is loud and inefficient. Unless you want ultimate durability (they're the best for that), use something else.
Hi Steve Curtis,Steve Curtis wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 2:00 pmOff of the back of my comments above, I had a bit of a revelation last night.
The current 11-32 ultegra cassette of my gravel bike is 281.7g.
The top 5 sprockets from the ultegra 11-32 are 190g.
The top 5 sprockets from the ztto shift fine and are 111.8g with a spacer.
So add the two together and you have a 203.5g 11-32 cassette that shift brilliantly though the range .
78.2g saving over the original cassette.
Oh, and it removes that stupid 13-15t jump
I want to do this on my 11 speed, but I'm counting 10 in your pictures. I see ooo counting 11 in his comment about the 18-21 jump. Does this only work on 10 speeds or am I missing some part of this?

Hi, no there are 11 there . I did a couple of rides but the shifting was terrible so I returned back to a full ultegra cassette, now replaced with 12 speed.
My advice is stick with a slightly heavier cassette and enjoy good shifting.
