Looking hard at this for my next bike, but I'm concerned about sizing though. I think I can make a case for a 53cm or a 55cm here. I'm about 175cm with a 80cm inseam. I have put together a comparison below. I ride a 54cm Izalco Team SL with a 110mm stem.

Anyone who rides this bike have any thoughts one way or the other?

I think the 55cm will fit you best as well. I'm 180cm and have a size 57 that fits perfectly (130mm stem if that matters, but got long arms)

Try the geometry geeks site. It will show you the differences and you can compare other bikes for free.
I found it very useful when trying to figure out one manufacture's 54 vs another's 52....

Stack and reach is closest on the 55 so you're better off with that one unless you want a more aggressive fit. The vision stem combo is stated at -6* but when you measure the drop to the tops it's closet to - 10 due to the squished tops.

I have both an Oltre and a Specialissima (both in 53cm). I am 180cm with a roughly 81-82cm inseam.

For most of my riding career (starting in middle school), I was riding 55-57cm bikes. I rode with minimal drops (height between saddle and bar), and short stems (80-90mm), as was the trend at the time (1990s).

Probably like many of you, I would "try" a smaller size, but it would feel completely out of balance and I would hate it. However, a few years ago I went for a bike fitting at a shop that dealt to a lot of pros, and they insisted that I try a smaller size. I said, "no way, I've tried before and it's terrifyingly unstable." The fitter swapped out the stock 90mm or so stem on the demo, put in a massive 130mm stem, raised the seat poast and told me to go for a spin. Wow. It was like putting on glasses for the first time.

Mind you, I have been extremely fit and active my entire life (NCAA athlete, etc.), and was still in my 20s, so comfort or flexibility was not an issue at all. Now that I'm a bit older and bigger, I still prefer the "smaller" size (my shop would say it's the "right" size), but I can't handle the drops anymore so I always have several spacers under my stem, but I would never want to give up the stability of a longer 120-140mm stem.

So, my advice would be (since you seem to have slightly smaller measurements than me but close), try the 53cm. And when you try it, insist on trying it with a longer stem (at least 120mm). If your gut/back can handle it, it may change the way you think about riding.

Im 175cm, 82 cm inseam. One of the reason i did not bought Bianchi (Specialissima), is the fact that 55 is a bit big for me:

Here i have a problem with 73.5 cm seat angle with setback i need (52mm). On Specialissima is a bit easier to achieve this since there is normal seatpost, so i can opt for seatpost with less setback. On Oltre need to reverse seat clamp, and dont look good.

Another problem with 55 cm size for me is long reach (i can adjust this with 105mm stem if i found)

If i go 53 cm size, then 74 seatpost angle work for me, but i have a problem with low stack, so that mean plenty of spacers..

My ideal size will be 54 which dont exist :(

At a moment riding two bikes:

Colnago C60 50S, which have 15mm headset cap, 7 mm spacer under the stem, -8 deg, 110mm stem

Cannondale CAAD12 in 52, 25mm headset cap, 7mm spacer under the stem, -8 deg, 110mm stem (but here ideal will be 115mm stem, which i waiting to arrive).

If i need to pick on between 53 or 55 ,maybe i'll go 53, since on Specialissima that will mean: 110mm stem -8 deg, will swap headset cap of 9mm which coming stock with 15mm, and will try 25mm spacers under the stem...
