Pretty much above..
Love the pop of my turbo cottons.. Also some holographic decals helps.. You could get some custom colnago decals done to help it pop.

I like supercaz tape.. Some subtle colour or bright ones if that's your taste.

Current tape is the red galaxy.. Had the silver previously. I'm looking to get some more red into the miz over the next few months.. Chain, jockey wheel and even cages at some point. Image

This, esp Supacaz. I changed from an ascetic all-black skeptic to a huge fan of the color touches Supacaz adds. The black-color combination tapes gracefully fold in color, and you can match the bar ends, end cap, and cages. My result on a Tarmac is on page 92 or 93 of the Tarmac SL6 thread. Good luck!

None :)

Have not seen many instances of coloured hoods that look the goods. They also tend to look awful pretty quickly.

Need very careful matching of Bartape.. IF you are going for coloured hoods.

Never tried any colored hoods, curious though. A lot of this is fashion, for example in MTB gumwall tires are or were considered to be very lame.

Re: coloured hoods. Gum coloured hoods can look alright even on a modern-ish bike like these in the WW galleries:

But they are a bit on the retro side of things, perhaps best combined with shellaced vintage handlebars on a vintage bike.
