It's a Vortex. Here's a collection of Litespeed old catalogs.

I have been able to get hold of the frame’s serial number, is there anywhere I can check out the spec using the number?

Thinking of building with dura ace 9000, should make a nice build. Any advice on the build appreciated?

Any chance that frame could be a Palmares? Doubtful. Does anyone even remember that frame?

What type of frame is that?

I always wanted a Palmares. I had an ebay search set up for one in my size and only one popped up in over 5 years. The guy wanted a lot so it was an insane price for an old Ti frame.

Hello MerlinXLM Image

Any group will suite the Vortex.

Just pay attention to the wheel set since there is no clearance at the BB.

When I had to buy new wheel a couple of years ago I finally went with Lightweight due to the narrow rim. I was not convinced that e.g. ENVE system wheels would clear the chain stays during high Watts Image

But get inspiration from the picture in answer #15.

Larger, more clear picture of the headtube badge may help determine what year/model of frame this is..

Considering the tappered headtube, shaped toptube, downtube, flattened seatstays, no "L" shape cutout on the rear dropouts, It sure seems like a 2004 Vortex model as on the catalog.

Here are some more pictures, include the bb. Showing the frame serial number, hope that this helps to identify the frame?

.....OK, it is no doubt a 2005.

That is pretty clear due to the frame number.

....and the frame is a Vortex Compact size Small.

In the answer #2 in this thread I wrote it also could be a Vortex LE. That was based on the fact that the down tube differs a little compared to the 2004 AND 2005 Vortex traditional and that down tube is the same as the later Compact. Please do not be confused since Litespeed did come out with a All new model Vortex in 2006 that al so was named Compact. But the 2006 Compact was ugly and a noodle

So all in all you have got a 2005 Litespeed Vortex Compact in small.

I do have the 2005 catalog incl the geometry for the frame as a pdf if you want to have a copy.

I just have to look it up in my archive.

Nice frame
