Hi,

Has anyone used the ritchey wcs one bolt carbon seatpost, or similar post in their range (with the 7x9.6 clamp kit) with any saddles with 7x9 rails?

I have a mcfk saddle but was unsure what seatpost to use with it - I don't really want to spend the money on a super light seatpost.

I was after a post with 20-25mm setback in 31.6mm. Happy to hear other peoples recommendations that won't break the bank.

I have the Superlogic one-bolt post on my HongFu FM079-F build with a Fizik Arione R1 saddle (7x9mm rails).

Anything in particular you want to know about it? Zero slipping or squeaking issues so far, though, I have to admit my mileage isn't anything to brag about. It all went together nicely and the cost wasn't outrageous compared to some options.

Superlogic here too, no problem at over 90Kg. Used with Fizik and Selle San Marco ovals. For 7x9 I had to purchase ears separately and it is a rather complicated process figuring out the exact item number. Also if you switch saddles often, the clamping system can be a bit fiddly but you get the hang of it eventually.

I have three of the wcs versions. Light, comfortable, look great, long lasting, and the best one-bolt clamping system available anywhere imo.

Thanks for the replies.

I thought Fizik rails were 7x9.6? i wonder wheterht he 0.6mm differential will make a difference. I am just weary that it may place undue pressue on the rails

The clamps aren't exactly good with carbon rails. It left bite marks on my Prologo and Selle Italia saddles even though I had specifically fitted on the correctly spec'd clamps.

I was using it just fine with the same saddle.

I use the WCS Carbon 1 bolt (zero offset 27.2), on two bikes, both with Specialized Romin Evo Pro with the carbon 7/9.6 rails.

As has been said, it is the best one bolt clamping system there is. Never had an issue at all.

The post is sublimely comfortable.

Now if there was a Ti bolt to replace the steel one, I'd be on it like a phat kid on pie.

Torontocycles, m6x55 should fit. 5$ for 7 grams, not too bad :)

THANK YOU! I'm on it! The stock Ritchey one is starting to rust inside the head on both bikes....

Hi Nifty, Did you have to change clamps to do this?

Hi Zakalwe, do you know if the SLR Carbonio has 7x9 or 7x9.6 rails? I had a quick google and it seems to depend on the which year the saddle was from?
