Got it. Thankfully Specialized is taking care of you.

I've tried the Exos on and they were super impressive.... easily the most comfortable cycling shoes I've ever put on my feet. It felt like I was wearing carbon soled socks. I only tried them on, in the store, so I didn't ride with them. I definitely think that there might be durability issues, long term but if money was no issue for me, I'd be grabbing up these shoes.

The. Internet.

My Sidi's were easily the most comfortable I had ever tried on (which is why I paid store price for them). Four weeks of riding later, goodbye. Store try-on reviews are worthless.

Maybe so... it'd be especially useless if I was trying to conceal that fact, but I'm not. I stated it plain as day. Based on your reasoning, any online review is useless, we've all got different feet.

My Lake 401 were uncomfortable to just try on but when you were on the bike they went from uncomfy to very comfy. My Northwaves are similiar.

No. And you're missing the point.

Reviews are not worthless. Just ones where you've not actually tested if the item was fit for purpose. I tried on a skinsuit and without getting on my TT bike it had me bending over like a pringle. Didn't feel all that comfortable to be honest. But bought it and guess what, when on my TT bike - in position - it's a glove.

Do you see what I am saying? Claims of
easily the most comfortable cycling shoes I've ever put on my feet.
are almost dangerous, as someone could then miss the disclaimer and think "well they must be ideal, buy!". Like I say, it's the epitome of The Internet.

I have 30 days of wearing mine everyday riding, about 1600km.

They're simply brilliant. Comfy, supportive, breathe really well, and look great if you like giant S-WORKS logos.

Why don't any pro cyclists (Sagan, Alaphilippe, Evenepoel) wear this shoe? :noidea:

I'd say euro spring is too cold for such a shoe.

^^^ this... this shoe is definetly not right for spring in europe. Severla pros were spotted wearing it at Tour Down Under... a bunch of us spotted it in photos there, long before the shoe was announced publicly.

I really dislike it. But, specialized said it's normal. The comfort of the shoe is paramount so I deal with it.

I noticed this from yesterday's Dauphine's stage....Gregor Mühlberger was riding the Exos. He obviously likes it enough to race them on the big stage. Ok, now someone will say Mühlberger lost the sprint due to the shoes, haha.

My Giro Prolight Techlace lasted 1.5 years before the Textreme/carbon sole started splitting at the heel and a few other pressure points. I’d have the same concerns about longevity with the Exos. Don’t think I’ll be going with such light shoes anymore.
