Im not really going for a weight weenie build with mine, but will take all the parts off my Gunnar Roadie which is sitting at 17lbs, which for a steel bike is quite good in my opinion.

I did order some Ultegra direct mount brakes and the proper bottom bracket for my Red AXS, otherwise all the parts should swap straight over, save for the seatpost.

Hey All,

I have a caad13 and want to get a longer stem with harder angle. Can anyone advise what degree is suitable that's parallell to the ground? Also, does anyone know the exact part number (or width) of a dust cap from slamthatstem/ceramicspeed/cannondale etc that I'd need ot reduce the height on the current one?

I've scoured this forum and FB groups, to no avial. Any help super appreciated!

Pic for attention :)

-17 degree stem is usually parallel to the ground.

Anything for 1 1/8" fork should work as it's just a standard round dust cover you need.

Would love to see one of these built up if anyone has any pics. Personally I’d go 1x sram red AXS, with PM, 45 / 50mm bora wtos and carbon all round Image
I also have a SS evo rim brake and 2019 Venge and imagine the caad would be a downgrade, but still would love to build it (and then presumably never ride it Image)

100% agree. I wish FD hanger was removable for cleaner look and stock seatpost was carbon fiber, so you don't have to chase one on ebay.
But that's very similar to my Allez Spring and I'd like to keep it like that: 1x AXS, Deep wheels and slammed barstem. :beerchug:

Iv a specialissima as an all round bike and a s3 for racing but I find I enjoy riding my caad13 just as much (much smoother and more comfortable than the s3!) and depending where you live it'd make a fantastic winter bike, takes wide tyres, discs and mudguards and has a proper solid frame. I don't see it as a downgrade at all, i just think of it as filling a slightly different role to my others.

Funny that, when I got my CAAD 13 disc frameset a couple of years ago the seatpost was carbon.

Hmm, I didn't know that the CAAD13 disc was available as a frameset. Is that one of those "secret menu" type of things where you've got to ask the LBS specifically about?

I think it was only available in 2020 which is when I got mine:

Got the gold colourway which IMO is the best one around.

There's been some talk about tire size and clearance. Some have apparently mounted 33 mm gravel tires. Does anyone have pictures of this? And how does it ride on gravel?
