Has anyone replaced the standard bots that come with the road calipers? Either post- or flat-mount calipers, the bolts that comes with the calipers have ridges and washers on them. This is so you can install the plastic stop lever on the bolt to prevent it from working it’s way loose.

But if you use blue Loctite on the threads, this should keep it together, right?

All the Shimano caliper bolts seem like specific bolts just for calipers. Flat-mount bolts are also different but all are heavier steel bolts.

Don't overthink this. You can use steel or titanium, button or socket cap bolts. The important thing is to use the washer to protect the frame/fork around the mount. Some blue Loctite for insurance is fine.

yes...use washers so the caliper stays put when tightening the bolt down.

Titanium Planet has a number of replacements in Ti specifically for Shimano. I've not tried them personally. Anyone?

When I ordered SRAM Red eTap calipers I also ordered the SRAM titanium bolt kits for them. 9,000 miles and zero issues!

the little knob is for a split pin like retainer.

The length you need depends on the thickness of the frame. And wether you are running adaptors.
Basically you need 13mm of threaded bolt to fit into the caliper on the rear brake.
