I have a seattube mount Hamax chair for my kid. The old mtb I'm using it on is about to die so i thought about moving it to my backup road bike, a Canyon Endurace alu. So it is not CAAD style crazy thin. As long as the clamp is placed high enough for the seattube to be supported by the seatpost, I think it should be safe enough. Hamax only warns about not using it on carbon frames, but my feeling is a thin alu tube with no support inside is even weaker than a carbon. What do you guys think? Thanks
