Hello,

My bike doesn't allow for 25mm tyres. The tyre clearence in the frame at the chain stays is not big enough. When I ran 25mm tyres they measured 27-28mm so I'm sticking to 23mm which measures 25mm.

Does tubeless make sense if I only run 23mm tyres?

Only if you ride them on gravel or have lots of flats (more than 2 or 3 per year).

Which I have had. Twice in one week. Switched to tubeless, never had a flat afterwards. Going for a 23mm Schwalbe Pro-One tubeless on the front of my BMC TMR. 25 in the rear.

Yes. You still get puncture resistance and lovely ride quality.

Only problem with tubeless and narrow tire is its correspondingly high pressure and low air volume does not create good working environment for sealant.

If you can keep pressure relatively low (like below 70) then it might seal well when you get a puncture. That is doable if you are light.

That's rubbish because only since last year I use 25mm tubeless tires on my C15 rims. Before I driven almost 40.000km in 5 years with 23mm tubeless tires on my C13 rims with good working sealant, so . . . . .

The only problems you will get is with too narrow rims like C13 (mines), there isn't much space around your tubeless valve to fit the tubeless tire properly.!

I tried to run 25mm Pro Ones on my 2014 R3, but they measured 27,4mm on 17mm internal rims and wouldn't fit the frame or the fork, so I got back to 23mm Ones. They measure 24,8mm,great confort, grip and rolls beautifuly compared to the 23mm Michelin Pro Race 4 with tubes.
70 psi front, 80 rear, I weight 68kg.

I am using Tubeless Schwalbe Pro One Evo TL Easy 23mm on my Roval CL50 Disc wheelset. They measure 26mm at 7 Bar. So far no problems. I tend to try the new Conti 5000 TL but they start at 25mm. So I do not know the measurement they will achieve on the CL50 but I guess 27-28mm.

The 23mm pro one is a 25mm tyre in reality.

I'd expect the GP5000 to be about 1.5mm smaller than a Pro One at the same nominal size.

No, it depends of the width of the internal rim.!

I ride with Pro One 23mm on C13 rims and they mesure 20 width.!

There a no tubeless compatible 13mm internal rims though. So you should not even know.

I know tyre width depends on rim width most tubeless rim are 17mm internal or wider now.

I didn't mention tubeless compatable rims, so you should not even know that the Pro One 23mm on C13 rims mesure 20 width.!

Wow, not only you use 23c tubeless at high pressure on 13mm rim width.
But you do so on non-tubeless compatible rim too?

Okay, KUDO for going way out of safety spec.

Strangely, my son's '06 Madone which wouldn't fit 25c tires on 17mm internal rims fits the same tires on 19mm internal rims.
