I'm Slovenian who lives in the US and never had issues sending anything to Slovenia via USPS. I don't know what site you're looking on

Post Office in-person and the clerk couldn't find Slovenia.

Just create the label at home and slap it on the package. No need for them to look up. It seems your post office isn’t a good one.
