This may seem odd, but i ask the question because i do not see them on the tune website. I have only found the front skewers online in non-mtb fotmat.

Any help sourcing them would be appreciated. The tune aluminum shafted tt bike skewers seem a bit sketchy for my needs.

Carbonti, tune use brittle materials like carbon and alloy.

I think one of the lighter titanium skewers are the extralite streeters at 29gr.

I haven't looked around carefully though.

Not all rear wheel hubs or carbon frames work well with light skewers. Some skewers don't provide enough tension to eliminate dropout creaks and to preload the hub internals.

There is also the issue of the rear wheel popping out in a crash that could cause some additional damage.

I saw a guy on youtube that gladly uses skewers with round headed nuts that can only be taken off with an allen key. Apparently they are aero and save you 0.5-1w. :D

the u20 skewers still hold a wheel, but tune skyline does not. your rear wheel will pop out when riding and damage the paint on your chainstay.

Sad, as they are awesome. Expensive as hell probably why there not in production. The installation is where you have to be careful; Don't load the skewer torsion! Load only in tension.

After extensive research I got LifeLine Professional Carbon/TI. These have been perfect and are cheap and very light. You can get them from Wiggle if you're in the UK.
