Thanks, just measured my saddle height on my TCR and it is 740mm. A bit shorter legs than yours.

Just went for the 56 S5 gen2. Hope it will fit my body height and seatpost won´t be hidden too much in the frame...
Thanks for inputs mates.

With a saddle height of 74cm you should have roughly 24cm of seat post showing to top of saddle.

Not sure, that means I should go for 54 or 58? :)

I mean if you think that 24cm of seatpost showing on the S5 is not enough, too much, or just right?

Sure, could you post a pic here?

I will set it up when bike arrives and will see if the saddle height will be enough. I´m going to remove all the spacers from the steerer except dust cap.
If it won´t fit I still can change the bike for 54 size, although it looks way too small from pics.

This was set at 760mm in this pic (so deduct 2cm to attain your height): Image

You won't want a 54 IMO.

Thanks a lot ryan! Your setup looks pretty good, hope 2cm won´t make a big difference.

My bike arrived so I had a chance to make som pics. I didn´t want to cut the seatpost yet, so I attached it on the frame with paper tape at 740mm height. I left 5mm spacer under the stem, so there is a little space to lower the stem further.

So what do you guys think? Saddle to bar drop is ok, or size 54 would be better?
Stack is 565 vs 542mm. Cannot find the seattube lenght of the 54, but 56 on my pics has 515mm seattube.

How much drop do you want? It's all individual, not paint-by-numbers...

Saddle-handlebar drop on my TCR is about 8-9cm, but not sure it will be enough on aero bike like S5.

Just rebuilding my S5 and I found some metal insert in the fork steerer. Possible to take it out? I´d like to shave some weight and don´t see any reason why they put that piece of metal inside the steerer since everyone use expander.

They're bonded in on assembly. Some folks have been lucky enough to get in before the build and ask the store to leave it out.

Originally used due to the use of a star nut. I never removed mine due to fear of damaging the steerer.

Yes, the star nut was inserted before I cut the steerer. Anyway it looks quite stupid to me on the high end bike.
Not sure if metal insert + star nut is safer solution than bare carbon steerer + expander. I´ll leave it like it is and use expander anyway...if it is bonded I won´t play with it, not worth it.
