Any tips on ensuring ergo lever doesn't move on bars?

You're right, the Campag tech manual says 10nm. I picked up 8nm from somewhere though, perhaps a shop, or is it printed on the bars... can't check quickly as they're covered in tape.

I just looked up the specs from Thomson as an example. They say not to use more than 5nm. They also have some terrible CYA language saying that carbon bars shouldn't be used for more than 3 years, and bars used for racing should be replaced every season... so take that for what it's worth.

Just to be clear, I don’t want to make it sound like I ever use 10Nm on my Campy levers, no matter what bar is in play. I rarely use a torque wrench for these, but I have in the past just to develop a feel for how tight things are. In general, I just tighten it enough to where I don’t think it will slip, and that’s probably around 4-5Nm. But if there’s a lesser spec on a bar for example then I heed that.
