Alloy handlebar cca. 230g ?

I found old Bontrager Race Lite VR, 230g, but has 100mm reach, wich is at least 15mm too much.
I found Ritchey Road Logic Pro OS, 235g, but don't really like the shape and waiting for answer regarding reach and drop. And drop looks like pretty big (don't like that way).

So ... does anyone know for any other handlebar in that weight range (confirmed, weighed), new or SH; reach cca. 80mm, drop ... not too big - some middle ground.
As I can see, It's very rare to find alu with such low figures.

70mm maybe would be too short. I just purchased a suitable stem for my bike (and for me) and would like to stick with it. But, it's a tempting choice (only to find somewhere that is not more than $80 )
Especially as there is a white colour option, and on white bike ... maybe ...

I was looked that Cyrano already. Those 244g were confirmed, weighed? If so, 42cm would be approx. 250g. Then I better like Cinelli We will see...

42 cm Cyrano R3 is 259 gm ahd its 42 cm in hoods, 44 in drops (C-C both), 80mm reach, 130 mm drop.




If u go for 40 cm version, then 40 cm in hoods, 42cm in drops, but reach is 75mm and drop 125mm here.... Probably weight will be less then 250 gm....

If u go for Chameleon versiom, 40 cm will be 40 in hoods, 42 cm in drops and reach/drop 80mm/130 mm. Wider version then this have 85mm reach/135mm drop....

Another similar weight option is ZIPP Service Course SL-80 (5 gm heavier), but dont like it since it's a bit flexy (i was using this bar for year).

I also tried to find lightweight and alloy, similar reach/drop and to be stiff enough... At the end switch to Carbon (Easton EC90SLX3), and found out that ligher weight is just bonus.. Main benefit is better comfort and more stifness (at least compared to my Zipp Bar it replaced).....

Yeah, me too was thinking of carbon around 200g, but I find too many mentioning of flexi bars (all up to 100-150$, new or SH, that's my limit), so I'm not sure for now. But If I don't find alloy solution, I will bite the bullet and go for carbon.

Btw. that Easton EC90SLX3 ... now I see is right on my budget

EDIT: I just finded some user review where is saying that 44 cm on the hoods is 42,5cm. I might go for that.

Easton EC90SLX3 42 is 42 drops, 40 hoods..

On new Easton model 42 is 42 in hoods and 44 drop .

But dont hesitate going narrower .For me going size smaller (from 42 hoods/44 drops to 40hoods/42 drop) it was very good change in any term..

I just got new Deda Superlegerra (40 hoods/40 drops) and even riding without problems 38 cm Ritchey on my gf bike...

About stifness Easton EC90SlX3 is stiffer then Zipp, and i have about 16000 km troublefree for now..

On last bike I had 44cm. For some 11 years. It was a bit (too) wide but I was used to it, no problem. 42cm now is better, so I was thinking maybe about 40cm. But no narrower than that. So, on this, 40cm would be 38 on hoods - not going to happen

I personally like more "lung space" with wider bars (although i don't have wide shoulders), than sensation that arms are too close, especially on climbs.

I just replaced my Ritchey WCS logic 2 bars and they're 245g (weighted) for 42cm version. Reach is 78mm and drop 132mm as per website and it seems to be correct when messured with caliper.
Width on the drops is 42,5cm (c-c) and 44,5cm on the otside of the drops.

Why is the low weight do important it's narrowing your choice alot.

Nitto M106SSB would be the right shape but heavier.

With what did you replace it?

Just got data on Ritchey Road Logic Pro. It's seems same weight (weighed with original cardboard paper on) like WCS logic 2, but don't really like the shape. Cinelli is best choice but ... price is a bit closer (than I was hoping for) to some 200g carbon bars,. Approximately, 30g of saving would cost me 50$. Not bad. And for now, Easton seems like best option.
SH Cinelli (about half price) would be the winner but I can not see one.

How about 3T Ergonova Team Carbon ... or ... ENVE Composites Carbon? Now, when we moved a little bit more to carbon

Im about between 70 and 74 kg (depend of month in season and how much i ride), and unfortunately outside is snow so cant test ride the Deda's.


Trying go flex the bar seem flexier then Easton i have.. About reach i find out that Deda put my levers lower angle vs Easton for same reach tops to reach...Seem like nice shape for hard effort rides.. But will see as soon i test ride in real rides..

BTW, one thing that i dont understund about Deda Superleggera bars in term of flex.. I found many people have same experience.. But is this flex really in handlebar, or maybe source is Deda Superleggera which is often combo with this bar, or they are both flex?

And now thinking to replace my stem for Deda's as well, so if the main source of the flex is Superleggero stem, then maybe better to get Deda SuperZero or Zero100? If flex is because of handlebar then probably doesnt matter....

Wondering where did u find Easton EC90SLX3 for nice price? Since is discountinue for a while, last time i tried to find brand new was very expensive (like two months ago)...

Went with Specialised one with short reach (60mm), 38cm version. That one is rather heavy at 304g.
