Went by the LBS today and showed the the photos and they completely agreed it wasn't acceptable and had me send him the photos so he could start the warranty process. He said they wouldn't have a pro frame to replace it with so it'd most likely be an s-works so I should go ahead and start trying to decide on a color. As much as I love the idea of a free upgrade from pro to s-works, I don't think any of the s-works disc framesets look as good as the pro disc frame :?

I'll keep updating on what actually happens.

Don't accept anything your not 100% happy with

For the kind of $$ you spent you should have what you want or a cash refund

wow, those boards imo really go crazy sometimes. all cyclists known to me would be absolutely happy about an exchange like that, and i although think its a more than fair offer from specialized, great respect for this!
do whatever you want to, but i`d always prefer perfomance about colour, the more, that i cant remember a single sworks-paintjob which i` d call ugly in any way.

^ This. Never heard any other brand would upgrade every quarantee frame to higher level.

If these are the colours I think both chameleon and mint would look very nice. None of them look ugly and normally every frame look even better in person.

I’m thinking I should head to my local Spesh dealer and buy the first bike I see with a wonky head tube

Yeah right, you must be blinded by their bullshit. I work in a Time dealer and some of the bikes we've had from them are absolutley shocking.
Seat tubes so oversized there's no way you can get a post to clamp tight.
Seat tubes moulded bent.
Cable stops bonded on at an angle so they rub cables.
Out of spec BB shells so you can't fit a BB.
Saddle rail clamps coming out of seatpost heads.
Poor external finishing with misaligned cosmetic or top layers of carbon.
They also have the usual p**s poor European warranty support where it takes months for anything to get sorted.
All of these are things we regularly see with Time frames.

I couldn’t even get TIME to acknowledge a problem with a slipping seat clamp and when they finally did they just glued some sand to the poorly designed one and sent it by sea freighter to America, arriving several months or so later. But I guess they saved a buck or two in air freight, and in the process lost a whole lotta customer satisfaction.
That was the "lets piss off grumpy Calnago" special edition clamp by TIME
lol
Of course a headtube like that would never exit TIME's factory

We don't carry anything in stock anymore. It's just not worth the hassle.
