Hello Weenies,

About a month ago, a car hit me and my Ridley Helium SLX became a Ritchey break-away of sorts because it is now in two pieces. I am now thinking of it's replacement as I do not want to buy a ridley again. I have a long recovery ahead of me so i'm not in a rush.
Ideally, I would like a frame that is sub 900 grams, towards the racier side of geometry, and with an overall clean look. Good gloss paint is also something i'm looking for. So far, the Emonda SLR is the front runner, but any suggestion is welcomed!

Many thanks!

Sub 900 grams and gloss paint may not go very well together. Just saying.

Difficult, what sets you near what you had is the new Cervelo R5.
It's almost spot on same geo as Ridley talking stack and reach.

Kuota Khan, Canyon both seems like nice frames with more of a race fit.
Izalco is really long, not sure that suits everyone, but surely a nice "looker".
I'd prefer a frame with acceptance for 30mm axle cranks, with normal full size bearings.
This would reduce Canyon and Trek.

That certainly limits the discussion to the usual suspects. The previous Izalco Max, S-Works Tarmac SL6, the Emonda, the Giant TCR most likely, Canyon Ultimate SLX, Cannondale EVO Hi-Mod, Cervelo RCA (R5 or R3?) and that's about it.

Would suggest the old Izalco Max. My frame, size 52, came in at 706g, red/black with a glossy finish. After the new Izalco release, the old frame became even cheaper.

That's the list 1 got too, sans the sworks (I'm not digging the aesthetic even though they are stellar bikes), as a canyon owner i have to admit the finishing quality is lacking. In a squeeze, i can budget in an Time Huez or a Ax Vial, what do you (or anybody else ) think of that? for the time i'm afraid it'll be heavier and the vial will be too harsh for 10 hour rides.

Cheers to all!
