That is a bold claim. Is it just wishful thinking or something more? I personally don't think the hole in the seat tube is going to mean all that much (if anything). If it gets to Cervelo/Canyon number, this will be impressive enough IMO.
Can someone post a link to the overall numbers everyone is quoting in this thread?
Canyon Aeroad CFR Di2 | Canyon Ultimate SLX 9.0 Di2 | Trek Domane SL5 Disc (Gravel Bike / Fly-Away Road Bike) | Orbea Tera H-30 Disc (Touring Bike)
what looks fast and what is tested to be fast (ok based on the protocol used)
notice a dogma f with zipp can match a cervelo s5. pinarello never markets the dogma a pure aero bike but the numbers don't lie. it is very fast.
i doubt any of the new frames released this year will beat the current leader simplon pride 2 at 199w.

"New Venge and Madone both had 204 watts of drag but as soon as the road starts kicking up slightly the extra 866g the Venge has will have an impact. In reality there won't be much difference since the UCI weight restriction kicks in. I'm pretty sure the VIAS can shave a lot of grams if needed and get close to the 6.8kg. The Madone seems to be more comfortable which shouldn't be underestimated."?

That was the Venge Vias and 2016 Madone with rim brakes. With H1 geometry, it was significantly faster than the 2019 Madone SLR w/H1.5 geometry.
They matched disc brake drag in line with rim- or even surpass it. That is what specialized, pinarello and all others did.. Give it or take 1W, that is why i wrote 205..TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 9:54 amMinirac wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 9:50 am"New Venge and Madone both had 204 watts of drag but as soon as the road starts kicking up slightly the extra 866g the Venge has will have an impact. Madone is currently fastest bike on the market.
Al published data suggests otherwise and it's probably not even in the top 5..Minirac wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 10:04 amThey matched disc brake drag in line with rim- or even surpass it. Can you just admit to being wrong? It’s not “could be 212,” that’s what Tour measured. T47 would not improve things…it would probably produce MORE drag because of the slightly exposed BB tool interfaces. It’s also possible the exposed cross-section around the shell itself is greater.
You also can’t compare the values from two different wind tunnels and protocols.
