Hi guys,

I have the previous model Cotic Escapade that I use for winter/rain rides. (The grey model with straight fork steerer and QR/10mm TA.)

I was thinking about changing the heavy 1kg steel fork to a carbon fork, but have problems location a fork that has the following details:

1: Straight 1 1/8 steerer
2: QR/open dropout (hub can't be TA converted)
3: Carbon
4: Disc specific
5: Around 500-600 grams
6: Can not cost a gazzilion dollars.

Would you have any recommendations?

Thanks

I actually have one. A ritchey wcs. No mudguard mounts and used but fine. I was going to put it on eBay.

I don't know if ritchey still do the QR version.

That’s a nice looking bike. I’d leave that fork and upgrade wheels and crank to save weight.

I agree and saving some grams on a winter/rain bike isn't a big deal. You'd need something like this:

You have a tall looking fork so pay attention to rake and the axel to crown distance on any replacement fork. A $600 aero wheelset would make you a lot faster than a lighter fork.

Look at Trigon forks they do loads of diferent ones and you can buy direct. Pegorettis came with Trigon forks before he had his own made.

Wound-Up make QR disc forks with straight 1-1/8" steerers.
