A brand I've never heard of makes a really nice looking aero disc bike.

While I love the new Venge Disc, S3 Disc, and Madone Disc, this thing just speaks to me..
Has anyone ever heard of Thoemus / Thömus?

That brand logo though.. You show up to a club ride with that, and everyone would be waiting for you to get chocolate out of your jersey pockets.

Looks like someone went to China and told them to copy the Roadmachine.

Certainly has some inspiration and perhaps some local not-so-friendly competition.

I like the aesthetics. This is purely my own opinion but I see this and it triggers the same emotion as the Wilier Cento10Pro Ramato Disc.

eh...I had a few friends who bought road frames from small boutique bike brands and yes they are nice but so many issues...they all ended up sending the frames back and getting frames from bigger companies.

Also one of my buddies bought a $4000 frameset (Zerouno Atomic) and it was complete garbage. Frame looked great but rear triangle was off. We tried 3 different wheelsets and they all had fitment issues. The wheel was about 1mm away from the non drive side seat stay and the about 1mm away from the drive side chain stay, we even tried there house brand wheels and it was the same (also my zipp 404's that had just been rebuilt by zipp). Also with 25mm tires rubbed the frame in those areas...with some research we found out that all of Zerounos bikes are from Chinese vendors. You can buy one of their frames for $4000 or buy it from china for $400. We also met with the owner and he is a total tool. He said his company makes bikes for pro tour teams and formula 1 engineers build there frames on there down time. Nothing but BS coming from his mouth.

Just do your research before you buy, thats all I can say...

That guy sounds like a tool.

I wouldn't ever buy a frame that didn't come from a reputable manufacturer but this thing caught my eye and I wanted to share. Swiss brand that's been around since the 90s. Wonder if it is actually chinese or made by Merida or Giant.

Based on a Google search of "Thomus" and a few of the articles and bike tests that popped up. Thomus seems to be big in eBikes. And mountain bikes. The top end road bike shown in the first picture in this thread is also available as an eBike with about the exact same components. Website says the red bike picture is 9590 Swiss Francs, or same USD. So pretty close to what everyone else charges for top end aero bikes today. But it comes with Dura Ace SPD-SL pedals!

"The Swiss company has been in the bikes business for almost 30 years, starting as a bike shop it seems, and is said to have its own production in Switzerland, although it isn’t clear where this frame is manufactured. Founder Thomas Binggeli for a few years was CEO of BMC, before returning to Thomus in 2014."

I found this one via a targeted ad on Instagram and thought you may be interested haha
https://rogerdevlaeminck.be/bikes/tirreno-dsq/

It’s actually cheap, 1685€ for frame+seatpost+stem.
I guess it must be a Chinese open mould? Otherwise it’s too good to be true I guess.

Nice paint options. This one speaks to be as well but yeah, I agree, has to be open mould.
