I'm trying to assess if it's possible to install an EPS V3 battery into a CAAD12.

I'm using a 25.4 Thompson Elite InLine seatpost.

I can see Di2 installation using the Shimano battery on a 25.4mm seatpost but no evidence for EPS. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks!

Yep, I did. It’s possible and it fits well. My CAAD12 is fitted with EPS Record. The most difficult thing about the build is getting the rear derailleur wire to get through the tiny exit hole on the chainstay. I had to expand that hole with a drill bit in order to fit those chunky eps connectors.
Here’s my setup:

Fantastically helpful! Did you put the power unit inside the seat post or the seat tube?

Good to know re. the rear derailleur. Time to get a drill out...

V3 battery went into the seatpost. It’s actually quite thin.

Hey, how did you get the front brake to work? Perhaps an adaptor from flat to post mount? Thanks!
