I'm looking to buy SRAM Red 22 Cranks, but I noticed some weird differences.
There seem to be (2) types:
Black+Silver = $250
Black+Black = $450.

Attached is a screenshot showing what I mean.

Anyone know the differences? Is the black/silver older? I prefer the all black colors, but for twice the price I'd like to know if it's just the color change.

The black one was an updated color way released along with eTap. IIRC, there shouldn’t be a weight difference between the two, but I may be totally wrong.

The black and silver appears to be the ‘older’ type, but no appreciable differences (aside from colour) as far as I’m aware

Lots of eTAP builds on offer for big discount but they use the old gpx crank. Make sure you verify crank before purchase.

As mentioned above, the black version was released with etap as the etap colorway. I prefer the classic black/silver version and have those, even though I have etap. The ramping/lift pins are the same on both rings......
